Elon Musk, who owns the social media platform X (which used to be called Twitter), said that the platform was hit by a massive Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attack. This happened at the same time as a planned live interview with former President Donald Trump.
The attack aimed to disrupt X’s services by overwhelming it with internet traffic, causing significant access issues for users attempting to join the live conversation.
The interview, touted as the “interview of the century” by Trump’s campaign, was set to begin at 8 PM Eastern Time on X Spaces. However, users reported seeing a message stating “Details not available,” and many were unable to access the event, prompting the hashtag “Crashed” to trend on the platform.
